How to Convert JSON to CSV
What CSV needs
CSV is a table format: one header row, then one row per record. JSON can be an object, an array, or a deeply nested structure. The easiest conversion is an array of objects where each object uses the same keys.
- JSON keys become CSV headers
- Each object becomes one CSV row
- Missing keys become empty cells
- Nested objects can be kept as JSON strings inside a cell
Example
A JSON array like [{"name":"Amina","score":92},{"name":"Youssef","score":88}] becomes headers name, score followed by two rows. This format opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, and most database importers.
Escaping commas and quotes
If a value contains a comma, quote, or newline, CSV wraps it in quotes. Quotes inside the value are doubled. This is why a good converter cannot simply join values with commas; it has to escape every cell correctly.

Can nested JSON be converted to CSV?
Yes, but nested objects are kept as JSON strings unless you flatten them into separate columns first.
Can I import the CSV into Google Sheets?
